Ouroboros in Bloom depicts a stylised red serpent moving fluidly across the canvas in a subtle echo of the infinity symbol. Pale pink peonies bloom along its path, their softness balancing the strength and motion of the snake. Warm tones of crimson, coral, and blush merge with muted earthy hues, while gold highlights shimmer across the serpent’s scales, catching the light and adding depth to the composition. Finished with a gloss varnish that enhances the vibrancy of the colours and accentuates the luminosity of the gold.

Painted in oil on a gallery-grade canvas measuring 70 × 180 centimetres, this work forms part of the Metamorphosis collection, an exploration of evolution, flow, and rebirth through colour and form.
