The Golden Crane brings my East African crane painting, Golden Hour Ballet, into silk, inspired by Rwandan sunsets when crowned cranes would dance in the fading light. Shades of grey, blue, black and white capture the softness of the feathers, while touches of burnt sienna and gold illuminate the crown as the sun begins to set. This bird silk scarf blends movement, elegance and quiet expression in a refined composition.
